Gregory Grenon: Introduction to Character

In this interview with Portland artist Gregory Grenon, he discusses his history, practice, and his most recent body of work: interpretations of the face and the figure painted on the reverse of glass. Grenon works as a colorist exploring the dynamic and expressive qualities of the people he paints, celebrating the strength of his bold subjects. Painting on found glass such as window frames and pocket watches bestows a vintage sensibility to his work.
